On the afternoon of September 19, Founder of InvestCHN Chase Wu and his delegation were invited to participate opening ceremony of 2019 China Pinghu Watermelon Lantern Cultural Festival and Investment & Trade Fair. Quansheng Sheng, Vice Mayor of Jiaxing City was invited to attend the event. Hailong Qi, Secretary of the Pinghu Municipal Party Committee delivered a speech.   At the opening ceremony, the event also held the signing of 35 major investment projects with a total investment of 19.82 billion Yuan. Within these 35 projects, there are 13 foreign invested projects with a total investment of 780 million USD and contractual foreign investment of 340 million USD; 23 of domestic funded projects with a total invest of 14.45 billion Yuan and registered capital of a total 5.88 billion Yuan.

He would like to expressed that a great welcome to all the leaders, guests and entrepreneurs who participated in the opening ceremony of 2019 China Pinghu Watermelon Lantern Cultural Festival and Investment & Trade Fair. He also expressed many thanks to all friends and abroad, who cares, supports and helps Pinghu’s development.

  Hailong Qi said that the unique Watermelon Lantern art reflects the Pinghu’s unique location. It is facing the sea, spring flowers blooming, backed by Shanghai, which it is the only county and city in Yangtze River Delta that is link to Shanghai by sea and land. It is an important “Bridgehead” that Zhejiang Province fully integrated with the Shanghai Zone, which it is also an important point on the golden north shore of the Hangzhou Bay Area. Effectively use the national strategy of the “integration” Yangtze River Delta. Pinghu first time entered the core area of the national strategy, it is an important opportunity. This city of watermelon lanterns will definitely become more develop, brighter, more vibrant.

  Hailong Qi also said that the meticulously crafted Watermelon lamp shows Pinghu’s courageous and humanistic quality. The spirit of being brave to innovate, improvement and etc shows in this event.  By this spirit, Pinghu have 29 companies of world Top 500, more than 680 regulated industrial enterprises, more than 280 regulated service companies. The city owns the country’s first cross provincial and cooperation park “Zhangjing Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology City”. As well as National Level of Economic and Technological Development Zones, Provincial Level of Economic Development Zones, the First Agricultural Economic Development Zone in Zhejiang Province, amount of high quality projects, people who are talent in technology are gather in the city, and make the city develop of "car produce dream", "Railway dream", "aviation dream" become true.

  At the opening ceremony, it also held the 2019 Pinghu “Honorary Citizen”, “Friends of East Lake”, “Business Meritorious Merit” Awarding Ceremony and Hire Ceremony of Senior Economic Advisor of Pinghu Municipal People’s Government, also commended “Pinghu's Top Ten High Quality Development of Foreign Enterprises" and "Pinghu's Top Ten High Quality Development of Foreign Trade Enterprises".
