  Xinmin Xia said that Yangzhou is a famous cultural tourism city, it is also a city of innovation and entrepreneurship, it is a national demonstration base for innovation. Currently, there are more than 480,000 market entities and industries in the city such as automobiles, machinery, software and the Internet, new energy, new light sources, energy saving and environmental protection, microelectronics and others are having a certain develop scale. Yangzhou is accelerating the formation of the modern economic system. In addition, Yangzhou is also a green and ecological city, which it covered nearly 1,200 square kilometres of forests, 2,200 square kilometres of lakes and wetlands, 2,200 square meters of green space over the city. Which it constitutes an ecological picture scroll of Yangzhou with clear lake, blue sky, greenly grass, fresh air. In recent years, Yangzhou has successively created a national forest city, a national ecological city and a national water ecological civilisation city.

  Xinmin Xia also said that Yangzhou as a node city in the Yangtze River Delta, an important member of the Shanghai Metropolitan Circle, cooperating with Shanghai’s industry and cooperating with world famous enterprises.   At the event, 40 industrial projects were signed, which including 19 foreign funded projects with a total investment of 3.97 billion USD; 16 industrial transfer projects with a total investment of 6.6 billion Yuan; 5 scientific and technological projects with a total investment of 250 million Yuan.

  Since the beginning of this year, Yangzhou has promoted the work on attracting investment, fully mobilised, city and county linkage, organised visits to more than 700 well known enterprises at local and abroad, promoted more than 400 industrial projects, great improvement on the atmosphere of attracting investment, the results of industrial project construction are evident.
