At noon on 10th of November, Founder of InvestCHN Chase Wu and his delegation visit Beijing Simatai Great Wall.
Beijing Simatai Great Wall is located in the north of Simatai Village, close to Gubei Water Town, 120 km from Beijing city. It is belonging to Yanshan Mountains, Great Wall is built on steep mountains, it well known as “danger, denseness, uniformity, ingenuity and completeness”.
Simatai Great Wall starts from Wangjin Tower in the east, it ends in the west at Houchankou with a total length of 5.7 km. the Yuanyang Lake Reservoir divdes the Simatai Great Wall into east and west sections. A total of 35 watchtowers (Including one destroyed watchtower), 16 watchtowers located in the east section and 19 watchtowers located in the west section. Simatai Great Wall was included in the World Heritage List in 1987, it is the only ancient building site that retains the original appearance from Ming Dynasty in China and it was designated as the “Original Great Wall” by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. Due to its difficult conditions and the wisdom of the builders, it is wide and narrow, rising and falling on steep mountains. Simatai Great Wall is also extremely rare in the entire Great Wall, because Simatai’s watchtowers, platform, and barrier wall within a short distance.
